Bad weather comes in all forms and there’s never any shortage of it. If you are living in a particularly cold and snow laden part of the country, you will appreciate that having the right set of a wheel and a car that can handle all-weather terrain is vital. I for one am delighted to have exchanged my old Chevy for a Subaru Impreza; which handles like a dream and never fails no matter how harsh the conditions. Before I decided to take the plunge and join the leagues of Subaru enthusiasts, I was constantly breaking down, slipping and sliding across the road and generally succumbing to every motorist’s bad weather nightmare.
I had relocated from a much warmer part of North America to Ontario and simply hadn’t got to grips with the demands of the weather in these provinces. It was only after I nearly crashed that a good friend of mine dragged me down to the local Subaru dealers insisting that it was about time I invested in a car that could handle the weather. I had never really considered buying a Subaru before; I am not a car fanatic and tended to make quite modest choices with my vehicles so it was all very new to me. When I was confronted by the huge selection of Subaru cars; the Subaru Outback, Subaru Legacy, Tribeca, etc…I started to get excited.
Before this I had never really understood the advantages of all wheel drive for handling and road grip capabilities. I also knew nothing about the awesome power of Subaru boxer engines. When I started to look into them I realised what a difference it can make having a vehicle specifically designed to handle different weather and terrains, to have some power behind you on your daily commutes. After test driving a few models and discussing my requirements with the friendly salesman, I got a great deal on a 6 month old ex demonstrator, complete with a finance package with easy instalments and they even gave me an excellent
trade in value for my old Chevy.
The Subaru Impreza is simply a brilliant car and surprisingly good value for money for how many features it packs in, not the mention the nifty 4-wheel drive. It’s also ideal for anyone who might be concerned about optimising their fuel efficiency and cutting back on their carbon footprint, as it is known as the most fuel- efficient all-wheel drive vehicle in North America. Inside it is really spacious and comfortable despite its compact size, and it really handles all terrain. The Impreza starts at around $20,000 and includes a host of features such as the vehicle dynamics control system, air conditioning and voice-activated Bluetooth® mobile phone connectivity. I have honestly never driven something so luxurious and modern before!
I clearly made the right choice. Friends of mine who really know about cars keep telling me what a wise decision I made, and these guys are serious ‘petrol heads’ who’ve checked out all the competition. I bought my Subaru from Budd’s Subaru; they provided me with first class service with none of the usual car salesman tricks or pressure. They have some brilliant deals and also stock a large selection of Subaru auto parts. So, if like me you’re one of these regular guys that wouldn’t have known just how good these dealers
Who represents Subaru Toronto area, you can rest assured that know what they’re talking about.
