London – what’s not to love? Full of life, lights, entertainment, shops, museums, tourist attractions… the list of reasons to visit is endless. But if you’re looking for somewhere to base your business, is London the right place? What about transport and cost, how will your clients find you and will you be lost in a sea of competition?
Firstly, London is absolutely the right place to set up or relocate your business. As England’s capital and largest city, it is the hub of everything in the country, attracting visitors from all over the world and boasting internationally famous shops, restaurants and businesses.
The West End is a particularly famous part of London and when you are looking for office space London West End is somewhere you would be wise to consider. This area of central London is a hive of activity, featuring all kinds of shops, historic buildings, eateries and places of entertainment. Set your business up here and you will be working in an inspiring, busy and cultural environment that you won’t find anywhere else in the country.
Within the borough of Westminster and taking in the districts of Knightsbridge, Notting Hill, Chelsea and Belgravia, there’s no room for second best, shoddiness or downmarket buildings. The watchword in the West End is luxury, with superior architecture, beautiful buildings and high-class shops and restaurants wherever you turn. It was developed over the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, populated with palaces, highly expensive town houses, classy shops and superior places of entertainment and its reputation for excellence has continued into the 21st century.
So is the cost prohibitive? There’s no denying that when you rent an office space anywhere in London, you will be paying more and deciding to base yourself somewhere as upmarket as the West End means that you can expect to have a higher rent than you would elsewhere in the city. You need to carefully consider your budget and work out what you can afford to pay in rent. A small office in the right location can work wonders for your name and reputation. A large, luxurious office in the middle of nowhere won’t. Where you choose to set up your business speaks volumes about your confidence in your company and projects an image of your firm. Choosing somewhere spectacular will automatically make your potential clients think that you are offering a spectacular service.
London is difficult to get to, though, surely? Well, it isn’t at all difficult. The Underground is almost misleadingly simple to use and the West End is served by a large number of tube stations, such as Marble Arch, Oxford Circus, Covent Garden and Westminster.
Basing yourself in London’s West End is a sign of quality, taste and vision and surely you can’t ask to project a more positive image than that to your customers?
