Audi, the German automaker has recently launched the India-bound Audi Q2 in Thailand, and this baby SUV will drive-in soon in the Indian market. On the first look, the Audi Q2 is just perfect for the Indian buyers, craving for style, power, looks, design and luxury, all in one single SUV package. It will be placed just a step below the existing Q3 SUV in India, and is expected to be a sizzling hit on the Indian roads.
The all-new Audi Q2 or the Jeep Compass, which out of these two SUVs is really worth your money? Let’s find it out here in this side-by-side comparison.
Exterior Design and Aesthetics
The all-new Jeep Compass is a complete redesigned model, which will replace the outgoing Compass. The designers have given special attention on the exterior design, styling and aesthetics of this new SUV. It looks more like a shrunken Grand Cherokee, but still it is an excellent example of modern designing. Added with the typical Jeep styling like the seven slat grille on the front, slick roofline and LED headlamps, the Jeep Compass looks just great.
On the other side, the all-new Audi Q2 offers a tough competition to Jeep Compass in terms of looks and exterior design. The brilliantly designed hexagonal front grille with Audi’s four rings gives it a muscular look. The headlamps and LED daytime running lights are placed in a very clean way making the front look superb. Thanks to the styling designing all around, the baby SUV looks much bigger than it is.
Engine & Power
The Jeep Compass will be launched in India with two engine options. The first one will be 2-litre MultiJet diesel that will churn out 170hp power and 350NM of torque. While the second one will be a 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol engine delivering 160hp power. The petrol variant will be coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The all-new Audi Q2 will also be available in two engine variants. The 1.4-litre TFSI turbocharged petrol engine on Audi Q2 will produce 148hp of power. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission variant will also be available.
